My internet is down

The bridge keeps queuing. The cashier switches to cash-only.

What keeps working

  • Printing. Jobs enqueued in the cloud before the outage still

reach the bridge; the bridge spool them and prints them the moment it's back online. Nothing lost.

  • Cash orders. The cashier can take cash orders with the last

menu snapshot. They sync when you're back online.

What stops working

  • Card payments. EFTPOS requires the bank. You'll need to take

cash or ask customers to come back.

  • New menu changes. The cashier reads from the local cache; a

menu item added by the owner mid-outage isn't visible until the cashier reloads after reconnect.

What to do

  • Don't panic-restart anything. The bridge retries automatically.
  • Tell customers "card is down" if you're trying to clear a queue.
  • When internet returns, the first cashier refresh pulls the backlog.
